04 2013 Tini - Watercolour A: Ectomorph

This artwork grew from a discussion about how my success with my killing of Disney princess gave me this image as a low artist who only did that because I wanted to fanart. I actually just wanted to take iconic characters and turn them around and our discussion lead to gender roles in cartoons and comics. I then decided I was going to put a man in Wonder Woman's outfit. but it had to be a three part work and so I took Supergirl and Powergirl (yes I know they are both Kara) and I put the three male body types in each one. Women in comics are always drawn the same, hourglass figures, big boobs and big butts and while I find that body type visually appealing it's not realistic (neither are superheroes buuuuuut whatever) so it's funny but makes ya think. There are also other layers of meaning but I'll leave those for you! I also want to point out that the works for me were sort of a mashup of rule 63 and  the hawkeye initiative.
