80 2012 Tini - Conte A: Trapped

This work was a triptych, this was the first three-part artwork, of three artworks. I wanted to challenge myself this semester and get away from Disney and so I started by challenging myself by doing a landscape. I hate doing backgrounds and so having the focus on the area around the figure was tough. I decided to also do a waterscape more specifically because I have never done water like this before. Of course it is The Little Mermaid and in this shot I wanted to make her the iconic redhead, Disney's Ariel, but here she is trapped between being a Disney Princess or escaping to the sea. I hate a dream about something like this, I didn't capture my dream but in it the mermaid was me and I didn't wanna be a human but I was trapped by a high golden fence and the water were dark. It was storming and the moon shone green across the water, it would be so beautiful if I could show you my dream but this is as ood as it gets.
